It made plenty of sense, and it proved for me that you are no less than an artist. Artists, even those that get all the attention (deserved or not), are never truly completely satisfied, we always feel we could have done more, or at least something to that degree. Even the art I am most proud of I will tear apart due to not being satisfied. I say just do what makes you happy, and you're a great artist. Do what you want with your art, and you will become a skilled artist. Be it make art to show off or art to please yourself, it does not matter.

I know that is wrong to compare yourself to others, and I'm usually not doing so either...And I do not necessarily only mean the ego artists who sometimes get far more attention than they deserve. I also mean those really great galleries to realy talented people that somehow have seems to be ignored here at DA.
No, I'm not jelous on them or anything..It's just that I want to be satisfied with what I'm creating, i wished that I could like what I manage. but at the moment I can't because I feel like I can do more with them and feel that I should have managed better. and thats why I said what i said. But really the only way to solve this for me is to continue with art in hope that I will improve and be satisfied with what I can do, 'cause that is whats important too me at least.

( now I just got a little carried away here.. so hope what I just wrote makes any sense at all! )

That's a mistake in itself. We can't go around comparing ourselves to others, because then you only look for your faults. Pay attention to what you can do, and I can promise there is something that makes you an artist where others are not. Besides, a lot of those "talented people" are ego artists.

And I can relate to the pasting old messages so I know what the hell I'm replying to, so, once again, no problem.

hehe..well then I shouldn't have mentioned that little mistake of mine at all then! you see I had just copied and pasted what you had said on my page so it should be easier for me to remember what you had said and then also make a reply that answered very well. Besides I have a really bad memory sometimes, which I think I managed to prove when I forgot to remove the text before I posted the message!

And rambling is nice to do, even if you might end up sounding ten times more optimistic than you really are!
And I get your point exactly, I think....^_^

Well after joining Deviantart it's hard to not doubt myself as an artist from time to time. Because here it is so many talented people that make my things nothing in comparison.

Well I'm glad to know I can make a difference for you, no matter how slight. Moreover, who are we beside who we make ourselves to be? If we doubt ourselves we will never become ourselves... But now, I am rambling like some optimist, I really must stop before I feel I have a postive view on something.

And you should never doubt yourself as an artist, because if you do, I'll have to reconsider the title I give to myself. ~_^

I happened upon your work in recent submissions, and must say after browsing around that I believe you are a wonderful artist. Forgive me if you find this a pointless comment, I just felt the need to express this. ^_^

I must thank you for the kind words you left on my main page a short while ago.^^ I really can't find your comment pointless at all.
'cause It's really nice for me to hear that people think I'm a good artist, since I have problems with believing me to be an artist at all myself.
